"Ipak yo'li" xalqaro turizm va madaniy meros universiteti (IUT) Samarqand shahrida Prezidentning 2018-yil 28-iyundagi PF-3815-son farmoni asosida tashkil etilgan, O'zbekistondagi birinchi xalqaro maqomga ega turizm universiteti. 50 dan ortiq bakalavriat va magistratura dasturlari mavjud, 3 000 dan ortiq talaba ta'lim olmoqda, 150 dan ortiq professor-o'qituvchi faoliyat yuritadi. UNESKOning "Ipak yo'llari bo'ylab barqaror meros turizmi" kafedrasi ochilgan, barcha ma'ruzalar ingliz tilida olib boriladi va juft diplom berish tizimi joriy etilgan.
