Toshkent kimyo-texnologiya instituti (TKTI) 1991-yil 6-mayda Prezident farmoni bilan Toshkent politexnika institutining kimyoviy texnologiya va muhandislik-texnologiya fakultetlari negizida tashkil etilgan. 4 ta fakultet (neft va gaz texnologiyalari, kimyoviy injiniring, oziq-ovqat va vinochilik texnologiyalari, sanoat muhandisligi), 8 600 dan ortiq talaba mavjud. Neftni qayta ishlash, biotexnologiya, materiallar kimyosi, polimer kimyosi kabi yo'nalishlarda ta'lim beradi. Rossiya, Janubiy Koreya, Xitoy va Yevropa universitetlari bilan hamkorlik qiladi.
